Vaselines FAVAB Unic

Favab Unic Petrolatum

FAVAB UNIC’s vaselines, also known as petrolatum or petroleum jelly, are complex blends of paraffinic-based hydrocarbon, with chains constituted by up to 60 carbon atoms. They are two-phase colloidal systems, in which mineral oils are found scattered in solid microcrystalline or amorphous hydrocarbons. Its composition and physical features, such as color, viscosity and consistence, all critical to the process, may vary substantially, depending on the raw materials and the manufacturing techniques employed.

They are produced from hydrocarbons deriving from petroleum distillation.

Vaselines are produced from hydrocarbons deriving from petroleum distillation. This raw material undergoes through a purification process, to eliminate unwanted components (aromatic, unsaturated, etc.), resulting in purified Vaseline, of USP degree.

Mineral Oils FAVAB OMBM

Favab OMBM Oils

FAVAB’s mineral oils, also known as liquid vaselines or liquid paraffin, are complex blends of paraffinic and naphthenic-based hydrocarbons, with chains constituted by up to 36 carbon atoms. They are oily, transparent, colorless and chemically inert liquids. Its composition and physical features, such as viscosity and density, all critical to the process, may vary substantially depending on the raw materials and the manufacturing techniques employed, allowing a precise selection to for multiple purposes.

Mineral oils are produced from hydrocarbons deriving from petroleum distillation. This raw material undergoes through a purification process, to eliminate unwanted components (aromatic, unsaturated, etc.), resulting in purified Vaseline, of USP degree.
